 Metode pengajaran atau suasana pembelajaran masuk ke dalam salah satu indikator penilaian universitas terbaik versi Times Higher Education (THE). Di dalam aspek metode pengajaran terdapat lima sub kategori yang dinilai.

Kelima aspek tersebut yaitu reputation survey sebesar 10 persen, staff to student ratio 4,5 persen, doctorate to bachelor ratio sebesar 2,25 persen, doctorates awarded to academic staff ratio 6 persen, dan institutional income 2,5 persen.

Indikator pengajaran juga melihat mata kuliah yang unik di tiap universitas, hal ini mencerminkan keberagaman doktor dari berbagai disiplin ilmu. Selain itu pendapatan institusi juga mempengaruhi jumlah staf akademik dan fasilitas bagi mahasiswa dan staf.
