How does a counselor help people find a career?

         I can’t tell anyone what kind of work to do. Instead, I ask a lot of questions. Do you like to work alone? If you like to be with people, you might not be happy in computer programming.

         It’s important to find a career that matches your interests. Taking different subjects at school can help. Join the chorus or take art. Try economics or business. Put them together and you could become the manager of an orchestra or a museum. If you like PE, but aren’t a great athlete, you might work for a sports team.

         Know yourself. Find out what you are good at and like doing!
